 The Roman Catholic Diocese of Northampton, England, consists of the the civic counties of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire, along with (1) the two Unitary Authorities that replaced Bedfordshire County Council in April 2009, (2) the town of Slough and its immediate area - part of the former county of Berkshire (3) the 'Unitary Authority' towns of Luton and Milton Keynes.
All are in southern England, in an area stretching from the western edge of London to the South Midlands.
The Diocese of Northampton as such has existed since 1850, and until 1976 it also included the counties of Cambridge, Norfolk and Suffolk - now in the Diocese of East Anglia.
