A practical ready-to-use resource for you

ABIDE - a practical resource for youth leaders

Over the past year, we’ve been busy behind the scenes developing a ready-to-use course for youth leaders, called ‘Abide’

The programme is called Abide to reflect our hope for each young person participating in the programme - that they might increasingly make God’s Word their home (John 15). Each Abide session is divided into four streams from a lively active session for younger groups, a creative session using art, film, drama etc, a more discussion based session for more mature groups and finally a prayer based session. Each of these sessions unpack the same Biblical story and can be mixed and matched to suit your group.

The material begins with a list of things you will need before you begin to enable leaders to gather everything in advance of a meeting. Each activity is explained thoroughly and given an approximate time it will take, thus enabling leaders to plan out the evening more easily.

There are tips and ideas all the way through and links to the Mass, Church teaching and traditional Catholic prayers and liturgies. We are busy editing and fine tuning the sessions and are even in conversation with a number of organisations who are interested in publishing the material for us.

To download a sample copy of the ‘Taste’ Stream from the first session, you can do so by clicking below. If you’re interested in registering for the whole set, you can then contact Pam on 01844 273337 / pam@nymo.org
