A Fresh Look

Alternative Worship

One of the ways which we as a Diocese are exploring, in order to communicate most effectively with the spirituality of our young people, is in giving experiences of "Ancient-Modern Worship". Below you can download a range of PDF documents looking at the basic principles behind new approaches to ancient traditions.

Exodus

On 16th October 2004 we held a pre-World Youth Day alternative worship event called Exodus, at Christ the Cornerstone, Milton Keynes. Some 190 people attended and interacted with prayer stations that followed the story of Exodus, the journey to the Promised Land.

If you would like to try out any of these stations with your young people, see our downloads below that explain the concept, what materials and resources we used and where to possibly find them. In some instances we have included prayers for reflections, instructions and action cards.
