In the life of a Priest: Christian Unity

The 18th – 25th January is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, in which all the different Christian Churches come together in response to Christ’s prayer “that they may all be one” (John 17:21).  For this week, the different churches in Burnham got together and arranged joint services at each church.  On Monday we had a service at the United Reformed Church, on Wednesday we were at the Methodist Church, on Thursday I helped to host a service at St Andrew’s Shared Church (the Roman Catholics and Anglicans share this church), and on Friday we were at the main Anglican Parish Church.  After each service people stayed for lunch, and over the course of the week we gradually got to know each other better.
