20th July 2008 - Festos @ Thornton Colllege

festos

To celebrate the 23rd International World Youth Day with Pope Benedict XVI in Sydney, we will run our own festival day for young people and youth leaders on Sunday 20th July at Thornton Collge near Milton Keynes.

While a group of young people will be travelling to Australia to meet other young Christians from around the globe we will be celebrating our faith here in the Northampton Diocese.

We are hoping that many young people will gather with our youth ministry team, Bishop Peter and others to discover what it means to be a young Catholic in the world today. During the day there is going to be music from a live band, interactive prayer, dance and drama, creative arts, sports, a celebration mass and much more. You can discover who we've got booked for the festival so far in the line-up section.

Festos will begin at 10am and finish with mass celebrated by the Bishop at 4.30pm. The cost of the day per person is £15 , everyone who books before 16th May will receive a £5 discount. The cost includes all activities, workshops and lunch.   *** Special discount - a free group leader place for every 5 young people you bring***

If you want to book your place or have any questions, please contact liz@nymo.org or ring 01844 27337.

Booking forms for leaders, along with registration forms for young people and our suggested parental consent form for you to use are now available for download here.

* please note, we won't be able to take parental responsibility for any young people attending 'festos'; all young people must be accompanied by a named adult *
