From the 4th - 6th January, we spent a few days together to welcome the New Year at Crossways retreat centre in Yardley Hastings, Northants.

In beautiful surroundings, we looked at the relationship between faith and action, as well as considering the responsibility of living out our Christian beliefs. Reflecting on a passage from the letter of James, we talked about being 'doers' of the word, as well as 'listeners' to the word - and spent some time looking at the Fruit of the Spirit and how present these were in our lives.

Over the course of the weekend, we were privileged to share Mass with Bishop Peter, as well as celebrating a Sunday Service with the URC Community at Yardley, which allowe us to spend some time exploring the different understandings of different Christian traditions.

And, of course, we spent a good deal of time relaxing and getting to know ourselves and each other a little bit better - with plenty of opportunities for exploring the local surroundings, and chilling out in front of the masssseeeeeve wide-screen tv! A good weekend was had by all.
