Catholic Teaching

Current Catholic teaching documents from the Bishop’s Conference, Vatican II and Papal Encylicals are to be found in the Catholic Church in England and Wales and Vatican websites. Try also this Papal Encyclicals site.

The re:jesus site is an ecumenical site, sponsored by the Catholic Mission Society among others, with lots of excellent resources to help explore the Christian faith.  From time-lines to videos, images of Christ to online prayer, there's plenty to explore.

General Christian Sites

The following sites are not Catholic ones and could therefore expose the reader to points of view which are not sympathetic to (or even actively opposed to) Catholic teaching. To be read with this caution in mind

Areopagus - website with a collection of articles, mostly by American evangelicals, on many theological & scriptural topics. Some lively debates !
Christian Classics Ethereal Library, amazing resource of Church writings from the early Fathers through the Saints and Reformers.
Christians in Science, website devoted to helping with those knotty “problems” of Science and Faith. Another site with ongoing debates.
Ekklesia - a challenging, sometimes controversial ecumenical site exploring the relationship between Christianity and culture.
Saltshakers - a hugely informative UK site jointly produced by Messianic Jews and Christians - all you could ever want to know about Messianic Judaism.
Providing UK-based directories of churches, organisations and resources; from Kettering, Milestone.net, which is also a free ISP - well worth checking out!
The Centre for Catholic Studies at Durham University is the only academic research centre of it's kind that focusses on Catholic theology.
